Wow I haven’t lived in Auckland, NZ for more than 35 years.
Now in CA, but miss many aspects of dear ole New Zealand.

Yeah, I used to live on Collingwood St, Browning St and Ponsonby Rd., when I was a kid. My happiest memories are at Collingwood St. I hear that the area is pretty trendy now.

I went to Auckland last Summer(their Winter) to visit my brother when he was studying for a year over there from UC San Diego. It was really quite something, one of the best vacations I ever went on.

Really? Auckland winters are really quite miserable (though not as miserable as Wellington)

If you had ever lived in England you would know Auckland doesn’t even get a winter

I went to new zealand two years ago and jumped off the sky tower on a guided bungee jump twice. It was a blast! It’s a little over $100 and well worth it!

But I still have not been on a whirlybird over the city.

This video brings back many memories of my lay overs in AKL. I especially enjoyed taking the Fullers Ferry over to Waiheke and also to Great Barrier. Such a beautiful country.
